Grandma and Grandpa are Here!

Grandma and Grandpa are here!

So far Riis has been spending a lot of time with Grandma and Grandpa showing them all the wonderful things she can do now. Riis can sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider, dance the hula, talk in 4-5 word sentences, run, and so much more.

We have gone on family walks, runs, and bike rides. We have been to Ko Olina to play in the sand, Grandma and Riis have made cookies, and we even made popcorn for a movie night (Back to the Future...Grandpa won the movie vote :)

Grandpa and Grandma are keeping busy during Riis' naps. We have been dong some projects around the house and they all look great!

Fishing at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden

Mommy and Riis had a fishing date today. We drove to the East side to go to a botanical garden. We had a nice walk. Riis picked up seeds, flowers, and stones along the way. When we got to the lake we used our bamboo pole to catch a fish. Riis was scared once we caught it and Mommy acted like I never caught a fish before and waited for help. We hung out on our blanket for a while, Mommy laying down, Riis blowing bubbles. On our walk back we stopped to give the birds the rest of our break and Riis got to chase the ducks for a while. She played so hard she has been napping for 3 hours and is still going strong :)

Ready to start the walk to the lake

Riis said, "Mommy, I push"

Found a flower on the bridge

"Look Mommy!"

Resting up to go fish. Look at all the goodies we collected along the way.

Pole, check. Bait, check. Cool fishing hat, check!

"Here fishy fishy fishy...where are you?"

Look at this girl!

Yikes! We got one!

We fished the rest of the time with no bait, just to be safe :)

Love the view!

Roots! Riis loves roots! She knows that they suck up water.

To the bridge!

Hi bridge

Happy Halloween!

The Britt family celebrated Riis' second Halloween.
Riis and Mommy started the day with pumpkin pancakes and a run to Aunty Jess' house (Riis' sitter)
They had a Halloween dance party and danced to Thriller, Riis had a ball.
We had our friend come over to trick or treat with the kids and help us give out candy to our "parade" of tricker treaters (we get tons!!!)
This was a really relaxing and fun Halloween. Riis had a blast!

Pumpkin Picking

The Britts went to Aolun Farms to pick pumpkins today.
It was a very hot fall day in Hawaii.
Riis rode her first horse and loved it. She was very proud of herself, because the last time she tried to ride she was too scared.
Riis and Daddy picked pumpkins, one for each of us and then we sat in the shade and had roasted corn.
A very fun Hawaii Fall day.
Getting ready!

Horse time

What a big girl!
The first one Riis found was her favorite.
