Riis and Mommy went to Denver for a work trip. We were so lucky to have Mema join us. Mommy worked and Mema and Riis hung out in the hotel, went swimming in the pool, and visited the monkeys at the zoo. What a great trip!

Riis' Pool Puppy Party in Hawaii

Riis had her Hawaii birthday party yesterday. We felt so fortunate to have so many friends, who feel like family come and celebrate with us. Auntie Kate made terrific puppy cupcakes, Auntie Renee took amazing pictures and brought the balloons, Uncle Dan helped with graphics, and Daddy was the grill master. Riis had a blast playing in the pool with her friends and playing ball with Ashton. What a great day!

Riis is not feeling good...

Poor Riis is not feeling well. She went to the doctor twice and is on medicine, but it does not seem to be working.  Our little Lady Bug still has a cough and a runny nose. We leave for Denver in 3 days. I hope she gets better soon.

Grandma and Grandpa bought Riis a pair of tap shoes a very long time ago. I thought they were soooo big and never would fit. To my surprise Riis is growing up so fast. The shoes fit! Here are some videos of her on her test run with the new kicks.

A trip to the Zoo

The Britts had a family outing to the zoo last Sunday. Riis enjoyed watching the giraffes and picking up yellow leaves the most. We went to lunch at a close by burger spot and had a really great day.

13 Months

So Riis is 13 months already. Time really does fly. Riis has been changing so much lately.

•  Riis walks easily and has been doing so for a long time. 
• Riis mimics us, which is so cute. Daddy blows on his fork before he puts it in his mouth and now Riis does the same, hot or cold it does not matter.
•  Riis will put anything bag like around her arm and walk around the house like a little lady with a pocket book.
•  Riis can go to bed on her own, most of the time.
• Riis can eat anything (except peanut butter) and loves blueberries, eggs, and long noodles.
• Riis can give closed mouth kisses and loves to kiss Daddy during their bath time together.
• Riis makes the cutest closed eye fact when the doggies come running through the house to go outside.
• Riis loves to go riding in her ladybug bike/car with Mommy.
• Riis has stopped "yelling" when she does not get her way.
• Riis likes to put Mommy and Daddy's shoes on and walk around the house, well try to walk around.
• Riis likes to put any type of clothing over her head and wear it.
• Riis really does have red hair :)

Catching Up

It has been a while since I last posted. Everything with us is great!
Riis is getting so big and has just so much to say. We love it when she talks and then at the end gives a big laugh. We think she is telling funny stories and jokes. Riis is walking, "talking", and woofing at the dogs.
