Flight: The flight is the part of the trip we worry about the most. We were so lucky this time! The fights on both legs of our trip were empty so Riis had her own seat. This made a huge difference for all three of us. Naps were had by all and Riis even made some friends (no surprise here). People waited until the very end of the flight to talk to her, but once they did she would not let them go. Talk talk talk :) The best part was when we landed in San Fran. The gate we had to go to was right next to where we walked out of. To top it off there was a kid zone there where Riis could play around and burn off some engergy.

Mema & Opa's House: We have been having a good time hanging out and playing with Gracie, the big dog. Riis likes to woof at her and tries to kiss her nose. Gracie has been wonderful and seems to get tired out by Riis. Riis is sleeping in bed with Mommy and Daddy, the body heat is keeping us all warm :) Mema and Mommy took Riis on a nice hike today. We walked for a couple of miles and saw the duckies as we left. Riis liked to woof at them too :)

Honolulu Marathon

We did it!!!!!

Riis and Mommy crossed the Honolulu Marathon finish line today. It took Mommy 4 hours, 1 minute, and 48 seconds. 1 minute and 49 seconds above Mommy's goal time. Daddy took Riis in her Ladybug to the finish line and handed her off 30 yards before the finish. Mommy and Riis finished the race together! Riis was given a seashell lei and shared a malasada with Mommy after the race. Daddy did a great job having Riis ready to go and handing her off.

Honolulu City Lights

The Britts and the Winters went into town tonight to see the Honolulu City Lights. The marathon route passes this, so Mommy sees it every year, but never with Daddy and Riis. The night was cool, calm, and filled with colorful Christmas lights. Riis loves riding around in her birthday present, the ladybug. She was able to say, "hiiii!" to many kids and play a little with Ashton. What a fun night!!!!

Christmas Tree Farm

Today we went to Helemano Farms, the christmas tree farm, to cut down a tree for Christmas.
Kate and Dave met us there and we had a great time finding the perfect tree. Riis spent some time on Daddy's shoulders running up and down the aisles of trees and then the rest of her time holding on to Mommy and Daddy's hands and leading the way.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Britts had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Riis and Mommy started our day with a 10 mile Turkey Trot around Honolulu. Kate and Kellen came with us and were super helpful. Kate fed Riis on the way down and Kellen helped me push for the first 5 miles. Riis was getting fussy during the last mile and a women running next to us started to sing to her. Too cute!

Once we got home Riis and Mommy made pie and sweet potato casserole for the 2 potlucks we were attending. We listened to Christmas music and tried to sing along. Riis loves Christmas music! We also had time to skype with Uma and family, Mema and family, and Grandma and Grandpa. What lucky girls we were.

Daddy came home and we went to Uncle Ians for dinner. Riis was such a good girl and ate soooo well! Check out the makeshif highchair Daddy fashioned together.

We stopped by Kellen, Jean, Noelle, and Hillary's house for dessert. Riis got to play with Thelma's 2 year old granddaughter, Zayla. Riis is almost as tall as her and even pushed her over :(

We were home by 8, Daddy gave Riis a bottle and cuddled, and Riis was fast asleep by 8:30.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
