Britt Girls Are Home!

The HI Britt girls are home after a trip to Napa, CA. We had tons of fun with Uma in Napa and she will be adding some pictures to the blog soon. While we were away Riis started to use the potty. She went first in the hotel bathroom and then a bunch of times while we were out at different restaurants. One was a fancy Italian restaurant, Riis was dancing to the live band and then came up to me and let me know she needed to go. What a big girl!!!
Now that we are back all three HI Britts are enjoying working out in the gardens. Daddy had started a new tradition of Sunday Movie Nights, so far we watched Robbin Hood and Aladin. Summer is here and we are having a ball!

Riis' New Friend

Riis had a new friend/obsession. We have this gecko who lives behind a poster in the kitchen. We like him because he eats the bugs and he likes us because we don't bother him, until recently...
Riis has become aware of our little friend and every meal time she makes a "chhhh" sounds that is supposed to be "shhhh" and points to the poster (because we always tell her he is sleeping). Then she asks us to wake him up. Today she started to hold out her noodle to the little guy. This is really cute, but is effecting Riis' Clean Plate Club status.

Do you see him on the frame?

Working in the Garden

Mommy and Riis worked up in the vegetable garden today. While Riis was in her swing, Mommy climbed the latter and used the machete to cut the top off of our "too tall" papaya tree. We had tons of green papayas to harvest. Riis enjoyed picking them up, counting them, and hiding them like Easter eggs.
Cheese!

Look at my harvest!

Yummy!

I think I will hide some in the basil

This is a good idea for a papaya basil curry...Mommy will make it tonight :)

Catching Up

The HI Britts have been out and about and we have not have time to work on the blog.

Mommy had a week long sleepover camp last week. Riis slept over every night and was a part of the Keiki Camp. Riis had a lot of fun playing with her Auntie Barb and all of the other kids. She left camp with 2 souvenirs: 1- a foot of red ant bits, 2- over 20 mosquito bites on her leg. All in all, it was a great week. Daddy came out and ate dinner with us every night, gave Riis a bath, and put the Little Ladybug to sleep.

This past weekend we had an early Father's Day celebration. We did a family run at Ko Olina followed by a beach day, pretending we were on vacation. The next day we went to Waikiki and swam in the pool, ate ice cream, and went to lunch. I think Daddy was very happy with the weekend :)
