Beach Day 7/8/11

Riis and I had a wonderful day at the beach today. We went to Ko Olina and got VIP parking because the man parking us felt bad when he saw the two of us and all of our stuff. We found a shady spot under a palm tree and spent some time reading/eating our books. I brought the pack and play so Riis was in her own little area where she could play, climb, and cause little trouble. We went in the water twice and she love it both times. She splashed and kicked and even spent some time in the wet sand crawling around and dodging the waves.
The funniest part of our day was when we were laying down on our blanket. I was feeding Riis with a little blanket on top of us. I notices a bunch of people around us. They were taking pictures for a wedding. Ko Olina has a wedding for Japanese tourists about every 2 hours. When the two of us emerged from under the blanket the Japanese people went crazy. Clapping, taking pictures of Riis, and speaking to her in Japanese. They loved her! It was like nothing I ever experienced before. Kind of fun.
No pictures today, we were way to busy having fun and being an unofficial welcoming committee.
