Fishing at Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden

Mommy and Riis had a fishing date today. We drove to the East side to go to a botanical garden. We had a nice walk. Riis picked up seeds, flowers, and stones along the way. When we got to the lake we used our bamboo pole to catch a fish. Riis was scared once we caught it and Mommy acted like I never caught a fish before and waited for help. We hung out on our blanket for a while, Mommy laying down, Riis blowing bubbles. On our walk back we stopped to give the birds the rest of our break and Riis got to chase the ducks for a while. She played so hard she has been napping for 3 hours and is still going strong :)

Ready to start the walk to the lake

Riis said, "Mommy, I push"

Found a flower on the bridge

"Look Mommy!"

Resting up to go fish. Look at all the goodies we collected along the way.

Pole, check. Bait, check. Cool fishing hat, check!

"Here fishy fishy fishy...where are you?"

Look at this girl!

Yikes! We got one!

We fished the rest of the time with no bait, just to be safe :)

Love the view!

Roots! Riis loves roots! She knows that they suck up water.

To the bridge!

Hi bridge
